Bill Boudway
Need contact info for a local (Rochester, NY) area shop that can hot volcanize brass stems to inner tubes. Stems available with a rubber flange. Replacing old rubber stem tubes on our '26 Chrysler. Thanks, Bill Boudway Hershey, C2I_44

Bill Boudway
Hi, Thanks for posting the link. I bought brass stem tubes from Universal about 10 years ago and have installed them in two of our tires on the '26 Chrysler. I've had two failures where the stem goes into the tube. From the photos, looks like that there isn't enough flange on the stem to hold the inflation pressure. I contacted Universal, and they suggested the stem as shown in the photo. Challenge there is to find a shop to hot vulncanize the stems onto the tubes. From the link, it looks like the Model A stems have a flange that will work. That may be the best option at this time
