Steve Hagy
Hi, I've been trying to figure this one out and I'm pretty sure this is a 1985 or 1986 Chevrolet Caprice (Classic?). Can someone narrow this down for me? Is it a Classic? Looking forward to a reply or three. Thanks, Steve

Thanks, Steve Unfortunately, just like the Grand Fury, there were precious little differences in model years at that time.
joelj
Probably a 1986 based on the combination of having four sealed beam headlights and the grille design. In 85 the grille and the headlight bezels were adjacent to one another with no paint between. 1987 to 1990 had one piece headlamp capsules.

drwatson
The red Caprice is 1986. Grille pictured here is from a 1985 brochure. Note the red Caprice's (1986) hood ornament is more forward and flatter, where the '85's is raised. Also, there are differences in grilles and surrounding trim between '85 & '86.
