Scott1963
I have had several parts over the years with the XO or X0 stamped on them. Most are Studebaker, but they have also been both Lincoln and Mercury parts. The holes look like they would fit an old Lincoln logo. It looks like a fuel door, but I couldn't find one that looked like that. I wonder if it could be some other kind of cover like an ashtray?
John
Thanks for your insight! It was in a box lot, and I've since identified some of the parts as Olds, or other GM; however I don't think this is a GM piece. I'll show it to some friends who are more familiar with Studebaker and Linc-Merc. Fuel door was one my guesses too, and I searched google images with no success. Also thought it might be a grille center to mount an emblem, or maybe a delete plate or access plate for an instrument panel.
