1929 130 piston manufacture and clearances

The 1929 130 I am working on has some scoring on the cylinder walls.  The plan is to have the cylinders bored/honed the minimum amount needed to clean the walls and then have custom pistons made.

I have heard that Egge was making Franklin pistons but they are not listed on their website.  Has anyone had pistons made by Wiseco, Ross, Arias or any of the other piston manufacturers?  What clearances are you using?  I am assuming .003-.004 (similar to an air cooled a VW or MC) is what I am looking for.

Thanks for your help

For years Egge pistons were junk.........now they no longer make their own pistons according to some articles, so you may as well go direct to Ross, Aries, and the others. I wouldn’t bother with off oversizes. Going to standard oversized is fine. Be sure to talk to the Franklin guys with experience and mileage for clearance on the air cooled spectrum.
