Brtele
I had a chance to mess around with my heater valve today. With the engine off, I applied a vacuum pump directly to the heater valve and heard an audible click around 15” followed by very light gurgles of coolant around that area. The valve would not hold a vacuum and would start drop to about 5” and then inexplicably bounce around at 4-5” (without me pinning the vacuum), then it would ultimately drop to 0”. I started the engine and once warmed up the heater blew some decent heater air. I’m going to let it get dead cold again and test the heating system without first applying the vacuum pump. i also didn’t check to see if the valve was receiving vacuum while the engine was running and the console switch in the heating position - dang it. I got distracted and wanted to go drive the car around the neighborhood and do a couple burnouts before replacing the tires this week. When I got inside my wife asked me if that was the riviera doing the burnouts. When I said, “I don’t know” my daughter looked at her and said, “Told you it was him”.
