Minibago
I purchased a Boyco running board water, oil and fuel can set. Unfortunately the fuel can on the right is missing, does anyone know of one for sale please? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
72caddy
Are you positive these are Boyco? I did a google search and this site that has a set similar to yours listed as ‘other’. Most Boyco cans have the spout at the center. http://hudsonterraplane.com/SuperSix/RunningBoardCans/runningboard.htm
Minibago
There were quite a few brands and each has many variations. I have a few odd cans of varying sizes and configurations. This is the set I have in the original lockable box. Definitely Boyco. I need the gas can if anyone has one to sell please. The size of the fuel can is 8 1/4 inches wide including the flanges. 6 1/4 inches high at the highest point. 8 3/4 inches front to back with the filler on the left side the reverse of the water can.
72caddy
Interesting that is has ‘Boyco’ and ‘Boyle’ on the same sticker. Did ‘Boyco’ become a default name for running board gas cans (like Xerox for a paper copy)?
Minibago
The “Boyco” name was used by the Boyle Manufacturing Co. I am not sure if it was trademarked but certainly the same idea. They made anything in metal and their catalogue was extensive. The most common can here in Australia is the later version put out by the various oil companies. This is my can on the Roadster.
