The part number GBH-10-27751A matches the cap and picture for the 12 cly Allison engines. Measures approx 5-5 1/2 inch across top and 4 1/2 inch at bottom where it slips into housing. Its 3 3/4 inches tall. Its ( not for a 12 cyl Lincoln Zephyr) but airplane engines that Ford made or maybe a Ford 12 cyl race car ? Thanks for your thoughts. I suppose they just indicate hole number, not cylinder number. I see on WIKI 12 cyl Allison engines were used in various WWII era aircraft, later as used engines in racing etc. Interesting cap.
