Walt G
This ones for my good friends Grimy and Ed. Long Island City in Queens County is located just at the east end of the 59th Street Bridge . Brewster & Co. had a large building there as well very similar in style. ( in fact Brewster when it was auctioned in 1937 had a lot of Pierce Arrow parts and cars stored there in their building that were sold) . This image was in a French magazine for March 1926 and stated that the building was " a great example of a public monument" so far as parking garages went. SO who has the room on top of their building to mount a similar sign? It was illuminated by many light bulbs so that across the East river which is next to Long Island City people in NY City could see the logo at night. I am not sure if the building is still there or not but have to locate a street address. More stuff to keep all of you intrested and add to your knowledge of history from all aspects not just the cars themselves.
