Preserve1st
Hi All, Towing a 1972 Buick Riviera to Auburn, IN in a 24' enclosed car hauler and asking for the recommended tie down locations. I have axle straps for the rear but am unsure of the best tie down points for the front end. Your experience and guidance is greatly appreciated. Preserve1st
Thank you Bill this was helpful especially with the photo. We heard the same from Bill in the Riv Owners club and strap it in that way today. Many thanks again! Greg 1

Then criss-cross your ratchet straps I.E. drivers side of car to right floor ring, pass. side of car to left floor ring! Agreed ! That is how I tie down my trailered cars - Each Lower control arm to opposite "D" ring Rearaxle straps on each side of "Pumpkin to opposite side "D" ring I also, at times, will attach straight forward and backward from Lower control arm and rear axle in addition to cross-tie - just as a backup, but that is like wearing a belt AND suspenders
