Guest
I just found a killer website that has anything you'd ever want to know about your engine specs. Carb numbers, head and intake castings, everything. It's the NHRA engine blueprinting guide. "And there shall be light on the darkness" lol

86 2dr.ltd
OK I see, hate to sound bossy but lets keep related subjects on one topic , this is going to make a mess quick, posting new topics for ever little thing. Really I've seen it happen on other sites.
Guest
No problem, this is the first forum I've ever been in, it just seemed like a seperate topic of interest, more as reference. I'll keep my threads within the current fabric of the tech time/space continuum, lol. Speaking of space, what's with this 66 toro guy? He needs to be somewhere else, yeeshhh! Wayyyy too much 'tude' for me, and I'm a new guy!
86 2dr.ltd
The only problems with it is it pushes topic down and off the topics page more quickly. Then out of site out of mind sets in. Everynew reply to a post pushes it back to the top so even if your the poster and the first to reply the topic goes back to the top of the page. Say if you post a question and it goes unanswered for a few days you can go to it and reply on it "TTT" To The Top. just to keep it in clear site waiting for someone who knows the answer.Ya makin headway on the Toro ? Guest
thanks for the tip! ,and as far as the toro goes, it really doesn't need a lot. It really needs a proper repaint, and some of the really thick pad-style sound-deadening material has crumbled off the floor of the trunk, know a source for that? The white vinyl pillow-seat interior is nearly perfect, except for some collaped closed-cellfoam under the arm rests, which I need to find somewhere . I can rebuild them if I can find that, and a few minor items like a coat hanger hook and other plastic stuff mounted to the headliner that crumbled, lol. The prior owner kept this thing in tune all the time and rebuilt the engine 9,800 miles ago in 1985. You can literally put a glass of water on the air cleaner and it won't ripple. It's surreal how smooth it is. Too bad it only has 190 HP, what a waste of cubes. On that topic, since the car is over 25 years old here, I don't neet to take any emissions tests, therefore pretty much anything goes now, and it also needs an exhaust system from the cat back. I'm really debating on building a 70 w-34 motor and dropping it in, along with a rebuilt TH425 trans to the 'OW" specs. I could do that myself, if I just knew the differences. I've done several autos on my own, mostly german ones, pretty complex. BTW, any help on armrest foam, and other items would be greatly appreciated! and thanks for the kind guidance on forum protocol,'Ignorance is curable through education, stupidity is forever' <<Greven's corrollary, lol
86 2dr.ltd
Sound deading - no but I'll need to find some myself. The stuff under the carpets never makes out well after removal. The black tar coating falls apart as your lifing them out. I've seen that rag matt or whatever they call it but I dont remember where. I'll need to look soon.If you read 442 FAQ under heads isnt there hope for your 75 or76 . Maybe not 400 but I think you can get lots out of it. The old 455's dont come cheap and arent easy to find. Can yo imagine how many got scraped ? What a waste of fine castings.OW specs not a clueArm rests ? Not sure but sill plate seal that they use on houses is a closed cell(i think) foam that is pretty tough. It comes in 8"W rolls about 1foot in diameter. If you need to fabricate your solution. Sounds like your armrests are different from the 88's.We're on to new topics now
