Oldhowguy
Need to remove door lock to get it keyed. I have a 90 convert. Can't find how to get to the screws in the center of the panel. Worried about breaking the black plastic strip. I don't have the chrome caps at the end of the strap.
2seater
There are no caps for the end of the door pull straps. The end of the strap simply inserts behind the panel itself. If you pull the ends of the straps back toward the center of the strap, the two long fasteners will be revealed.
Barney Eaton
Pretty sure the doors, trunk, glove box and storage compartments use the same lock/key Much easier to remove one of the storage compartment locks.
Oldhowguy
You are right one key works all locks. However the glovebox and compartments only have two tumblers and the door and trunk locks have five. so you can't key the glovebox lock and open the door. That is why I looking to get the door lock out.
