want to buy '65 shift indicator lens in nice shape

As many of you know the shifter lens plate was made to last forever but the white lettering eventually crumbles. Over time I've tried several techniques restoring the  lettering (with little success). Putting tape on the back of the plate & building up layers of acrylic paint looks good in daylight, but getting the proper amount of illumination from the bulb to shine through has been a challenge. Does anyone have a nice one to sell, or have you successfully restored one?           Thanks, Drew
