junkyardjeff
Ever since I got my 55 Sunliner on the road its had a trans leak,it was not too bad until I recently changed the trans and it got worse. Saturday I replaced the rear seal again thinking I damaged it but it still leaked, pulled the drive shaft and it was obvious it was the plug on the yoke. It looks like the yoke had bottomed out against the output shaft so I checked and a new yoke is available,I must have disturbed it enough this time to really start leaking as before it would just leave drops and now its a stream. TerryB
We were just saying in another thread the older we get the more often we have to take a leak. This car is old enough to qualify for having to take a leak more often. Glad you found the problem!
junkyardjeff
The drive shaft is back in and will see how it does,I think I have the used trans dialed in as best as I can and can live with it. Now I am going to concentrate on getting the 272 Y block ready to go in and the 62 COM trans gone through.
