I have had this car over 15 yrs and I am the 2nd owner. The original owner was in Chula Vista. It is a 1966 Buick LeSabre 400 Convertible and less than 4,000 were made. It has CA black plate. It is a numbers matching 340 with 260 hp, 3 speed automatic also numbers matching on the column with bucket seats, power windows, steering, brakes, and a/c. New radiator, water pump, all hoses, belts, thermostat, power steering unit and alternator both rebuilt. The carb is like new and correct for the car. It runs good and I only take it up and down the canyon every month. Some very minor surface rust. It is complete with all emblems, trim etc so you would not have to do any parts search if you choose to restore it. I also have the original smog pump with all related hardware. I bought this from a close friend whose father bought the car new so a good home is important since they are both gone now. JD Power NADA shows low retail $9,237.00 so if interested, we can go for a ride down the canyon. Current tags and insurance. Reasonable offers only. Thanks! suchan
Nice car, good asking price. I'm assuming it's got 140K miles, not 1.4 million.
Centurion
This is quite an interesting car. The bucket seat interiors were quite rare in the LeSabre series cars of this era. Factory A/C, the optional headrests for 1966, and the cornering lamps are all nice options. Another unique aspect is the optional Super Deluxe wheel covers. These are essentially the Electra 225 wheel covers, and, while Buick typically offered these as an option on LeSabres, this is the first time I have ever seen the option on a '66 model.
