Odd curious auction.  Very cool find.  These are interesting finds.  Am I or anyone a buyer?  I suspect so.  Because that 1st year is the year to collect.  I am not that knowledgeable about these early Continentals but I thought in 1940 only convertibles were available.   I guess I am wrong!

Later in the 1940 model run, the club coupe style was added, 54 were built as the seller notes.   These were much more hand-built bodies whereas 1941 and later used some low-volume dies to create sections of the bodies that were welded and lead finished.

For me a car needs to elicit excitement and I never gravitated towards the Continentals.
