Leylandauto
This very interesting steering wheel came in a lot of farm related antiques. My specialty is British cars and live with steering wheels but this is the first one that even the spokes are made of laminated wood. I was assuming brass era vehicle? hoping someone will recognize this. Edited August 22, 2020 by Leylandauto Typo and clarification (see edit history)
1912Staver
Extremely unusual, is the rim molded Bakelite or similar material ? It may be non automotive, farm tractor or even construction equipment.. Greg
keiser31
A few mid '20s cars had wheels constructed like that.
Leylandauto
The spokes are laminated wood. Due to that being a relatively weak product, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t out on a farm implement. Thanks for the help so far! It’s a wonderful mystery to me
