DuaneH
I have color coded vacuum lines (red, blue, green, etc) and need help with where they go. Thank you
NTX5467
A GM Body Service Manual should have the vacuum line schematics for a car similar to yours, for the particular model year or close to it. The Chassis Service Manual might, too. On the other side of things, not that many vacuum circuits on the earlier cars. Usually size-specific. One would go from the ported-vacuum port of the carb base to the distributor vacuum advance. One from the rear "vacuum tree" on a port of the intake manifold to the a/c or heater vacuum reservoir. A larger one to the power brake booster, if equipped. When the hvac vacuum line comes through the cowl/firewall, it will go to the control switch on the instrument panel. That "feed" will then be modulated to the various actuators according to how the control switch is set. Enjoy! NTX5467
Loren@65GS.com
DuaneH, Your '64 Skylark AC system is the same as the early '65 Skylark AC system. I've copied and attached a picture of the "65 early AC system from the '65 service manual. This should help. Loren 1

Loren@65GS.com
I don't recall it in another section, but I will search for other information now that I'm back home. Loren
NTX5467
There might be some un-related engine pictures in the service manual which might show segments of what you might be looking for. Things were much simpler back then. NTX5467
Loren@65GS.com
Apology for taking so long to get back on this. Here is a copy of the engine bay side for AC system vacuum lines. Maybe the second picture will be more helpful. The outside air inlet door diaphragm has two ports. The center tall port is full outside air and the other is recirculated air.
