alsfarms
I have an early Gray and Davis square starter and would like to use it on a project. Where is a good source for information on operation and repair of these starters? Were all of this type starter direct drive or were some of them gear reduction? What make automobile used the "lion share" of these starters? What is the engine CID range for this type of starter? What are some, if any, of the pitfalls/problems for this type starter?
