01vette
Can anyone please post a picture of the throttle linkage for a 1936 Standard? I can't seem to get enough travel on the carb to fully open the butterfly with the pedal. thanks George
JFranklin
Do you think your car's linkage was modified or bent? What parts are you wanting to see? I put a 200 CI 6 cylinder Mustang carb on my car and didn't have to modify any of the linkage, just the lever on the carb. 01vette
How many springs are used on the throttle? I have 2 on my car for the throttle. One to return the gas pedal and one to control the butterfly.
JFranklin
I don't think springs would cause your problem. You need to find where there may be binding or lost motion. Too much carpet under the pedal can cause lost motion of the linkage.
01vette
No carpet under the pedal. The standard just has a rubber mat in the front. The pedal will go to the floor, but not move the butterfly to the fully open position.
JFranklin
Who is watching the carb while the pedal is being pushed to the floor? Is there a spacer under the carb? How fast will the car go as it is set-up? I have never looked to see all this but my car will drive at least 60MPH. If you don't already know, here is a good place to get help with your car. https://vccachat.org Edited June 2, 2020 by JFranklin (see edit history)
