mikeyz123 Posted April 20, 2020 Share Posted April 20, 2020 So i have a 49 chrysler windsor and a while back I brought it to a shop to have the steering knuckle replaced, thought the guy knew what he was doing.. i was wrong, he couldn’t figure out how to put the car in reverse and he tried multiple times, when i went to pick up the car the car had no reverse, not sure what he did but maybe yanked on the shifter to hard and did something, any ideas on why i have no reverse now? Nearly every time this question comes up it’s the shifter linkage that is out of adjustment. Apparently there is not much room for error on its setting before it creates problems.
