Jim
You can use one or two remotes. I copied this from the shop manual. Before starting this procedure, BOTH transmitters must be present. Failureto use both transmitters will render the missing transmitter inoperative. If the customer uses only one transmitter on the vehicle, use thistransmitter as transmitter 1 and 2.The entire reprogramming sequence must be completed within 30 seconds ofgrounding the connector. If the procedure is not completed, remove theground at the connector and restart the procedure from step 11. Ignition "ON"2. Ground green single wire connector ( located near the ABS module in thetrunk.3. Wait for the door locks to lock and unlock ( should take 2 seconds)4. Press the "unlock" button on the first transmitter twice ( pauses forone second between presses)5. Wait for door locks to lock and unlock ( should take 2 seconds)6. Press the "unlock" button on the second transmitter twice ( pause forone second between presses)7. Wait for door locks to lock and unlock ( should take 2 seconds)8. Remove ground from green conector. Guest tempest68
Are these new remotes ones that you just purchased by any chance? I purchased a set from Remotes Unlimited (search this forum for previous post on them) awhile back. The first set they sent me did not program not matter how many times I followed the directions. Sent those back and they sent another set. The second set worked like a charm on the first try. So if you purchased them from some company like the one I mentioned, you may need to return them and try another set.
