harry yarnell
E044 is oxygen sensor running lean.B022,3 are panel light dimming issues. Since these are history, erase 'em (or disconnect the battery) to clear and see what happens.
Guest
Thank you for your help.I noticed on the drive home that the code B123 curreut shows. What's the difference between "current" and "history"?Coop
harry yarnell
Current means the 'problem' is happening as you view the screen. 'History' means it happened, but isn't present now.
Guest Reatta Tone
im having the same problem, my car just started doing that this weekend. I have an 88 Buick Reatta. It doesnt show any codes just says SERVICE CHECK REQUIRED at the bottom. I noticed it does that about 15 minutes after the car has been running. Any ideas what it could be? Guest 88atta
Reatta Tone:You need to check your codes thru your CRT; the error codes do not automatically appear on the CRT. Instructions can be found at the link below. Report the codes you find here and we will try to help figure out the problem. How To Access Trouble Codes - '88 & '89 Models - ReattaOwner.com
Guest Reatta Tone
I just did the code test & these are the codes it gave me: E041 B552 C331 C553 all of these are history tho and I just cleared them. I will drive my car tomorrow & hope that solved the problem.
Ronnie
Check to see if the yellow "Service Engine Soon" light on the instrument panel comes on when you turn the key to "Run" before starting the car. It being burned out can cause the warning you are getting.
Guest Reatta Tone
Thanks Ronnie, I will check that right now & what do you mean by "It" being burned out?
Guest Reatta Tone
Ronnie, so I just went out to check & yes the "Service Engine Soon" lights is on when I turn the key as well as the battery light. Then once the car is started they both go away.
