Summershandy
Hey fellows, I've been playing with my TV rod (not mine, the car's) and I've got the shift patterns as follows: 1st - 2nd = 5 mph 2nd - 3rd = 10 mph 3rd - 4th = 20 mph I lengthened the rod by 1 full turn of the adjusting nut. Is this too close of a shift or think it's fine? I'm playing with the infamous "jerk" which I can ease when I let up on the pedal a touch. Just fine tuning. Thanks! Summershandy
Actually, I went for another ride a little more aggressive. It shifts quick into 2nd but I can make it get to 15 mph for 3rd and almost 25 mph for 4th. I think it shifts a little too quick into 2nd at 5 mph. Maybe back off 1/2 turn on the nut. Summershandy
I am sooo happy I played around with the TV adjustment. Kept taking it out for a spin around the block until it felt better and is it ever! 2nd to 3rd is still there but much softer and I used to sometimes have a hard downshift from 2nd to 1st at a light. That's now smooth as butter.
