Mars
1930 4 dr cf , I had my brake shoes relinded, Everything back together, Start to bleed them. Round and round with my buddy, open and close 6-8 times, can't get a brake. No leaking that I can see. Just won't stay up. Any suggestions? Spinneyhill
did you adjust the shoes before going near the hydraulic system? No more than 4 full pedal strokes before refilling master cylinder. I think I do three on the Dodge Brothers Eight. Pedal strokes are s-l-o-w, both ways (down and up). Make sure the fluid collection line on the bleed nipple goes upwards at first. Then if any is "sucked" back in, it will be fluid, not air. Work from longest to shortest brake line. Any high points in the brake lines? You can get an air bubble in there and it is very hard to remove at the top of a hump. Mars
Yes, I adjusted the shoes.Worked from longest to shortest. Pedal strokes could be the problem. Thanks
