NEO
Greetings! I was wondering if anyone could identify this tail light (see pic). It's similar to '39 - '40 Packard but those are missing the round lens above the oval one. It's also similar to '49 - '50 Packard Super 8, but that one has the round lens forward of the oval lens... The long story. This tail light is on a '32 American Austin that my grandfather fixed up in the '60's. I know it's not the original tail light but I like it better than the original Austin lamp and would be interested in putting one on the other fender (and perhaps converting it to a 2 filament bulb so the car has brake lights). I have not had a chance to inspect the lamp closely. My grandfather had the skills to create this lamp but probably not the time, so I'm guessing it's a production piece. Grandpa is gone so I can't ask him what it's from and I have not been able to figure it out myself. Thanks for your help!
