Jerry Moriah
Know that my CRT is staying on during my trip home, how accurate is the range feature in trip info? My fuel average is 21mpg. Wondering if it can keep my from running out of gas? Showing 304 miles. Probably did about an hour of driving since fill up.
Ronnie
Are you asking if you could use the CRT as a way to determine how much fuel is remaining in the tank if the IPC isn't working? If so you can enter diagnostics and go to BD40 (Actual Fuel Level). It will tell you how many gallons of fuel are in the tank.
Jerry Moriah
Just filled up, and range is showing 359 miles, divided by 18.8gal, equals 19mpgs? So hopefully I can Gage my range to empty till ICP is functioning, at least in warm weather. CRT didn't was just trying to come on when I pulled into work this morning, too cold. AZVET
Be careful though. The fuel pump is located in the tank and it is cooled by the fuel. Best advice is to fill up once you only have 1/4 tank left to preserve the pump`s life. The fuel pump is costly to replace due to the labor time it takes to drop the entire tank in order to get to the unit.
