Summershandy
Any more info on this p/n would quench my thirst. I know P - Pontiac and 54 - 1954 Are the other numbers date of assembly or something? Just curious and couldn't find anymore info. Pulled the pan off today. Usual crude at the bottom and on the screen. Bolts were hand tight.
poci1957
I think it is just a serial number and if so the date of manufacture could be roughly determined by the fact that there were 238,637 1954 Pontiacs with Hydramatic. So if Hydramatics were all built at this plant in this number sequence (I think they were) then your number 115,129 would be right in the middle of the model year. Compare that to your VIN and it should confirm, enjoy, Todd C
