For Sale: 1940 Chevrolet Coupe

This car was first restored in the late 1970's and was a running and driving up until the mid to late 1980's. The previous owner dismantled the car and never finished the project of getting it back together.

The body is very solid, as is much of the sheet metal.

There is a patch in the driver's side rear wheel well from a power antenna that was installed and then removed.

There is also a small area in the trunk floor where a shock came loose from the rear axle and came up through the floor, the metal is all there, just needs to be hammered out and tack welded back together.

Original Frame has been cut off at the firewall and has had a late 1970's Firebird Front Suspension and Frame Rails installed.

Engine is a 350ci Small Block Chevy (Casting #3970010) with a single 4-barrel Quadrajet Carburetor and an Automatic Transmission.

Parts include;
Front Fenders
Rear Fenders (Each patched at running board mount area)
Grille and related pieces that mount around it
Running Boards (Brand New, look like older Reproductions)
Running Board Moldings
Sill Plates for Door Jambs
Headlights, Running Lights and Tail Lights
Vent Windows
All Interior Garnish Moldings except for Windshield
Dash and Speaker Grille (Both have been cut for different Gauges and Radio)
Vacuum Wiper Motor and Both Wiper Towers
Pair of Bumper Brackets (Not sure if they are Front or Rear, but they are a LH/RH set)
Passenger's Side Hood to Fender Filler Panel (Missing Driver's Side)
Pair of Smaller Filler Panels that bring Hood, Front Fenders and Grille together
Inner Fender Panels
Hood Trim
Several Smaller Pieces of Side Trim (Not a complete set, some pieces are missing)
Brand New Weatherstripping for Windshield, Rear Window and Quarter Windows
Exterior Window Trim for Windshield, Quarter Glass and Driver's Side Door (Missing Trim for Rear Window and Passenger's Side Door)
Radiator Core Support
Radiator to Firewall Support Bar
Front Fender Braces
Hood and Hood Hinges

It's about 90% complete, has most all of the main parts needed to get it back together. Very solid car and a good start for a restoration or hot rod project.

Asking $5500 or best offer.

I do also have the title for the car.

The car does roll for easy loading onto a trailer of flatbed. Most all parts will fit inside the car with the exception of the front fenders.

Phone calls only please, no text messages.
