NTX5467 Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 As mentioned in a prior fuel pump thread, maybe in another forum, be sure the rebuilder uses "ethanol-resistant" rubber for the pump diaphragm. Even with the upgraded material, it appears that if the pump is allowed to be "dry" (rather than "wet" with fuel), it can make the diaphragm harder and more prone to develop leaks after it contacts ethanol-blend fuel and is then allowed to dry out with non-use of the vehicle. By this time, though, I suspect all of what's used is the better rubber, BUT make sure it is (in writing, either in a warranty of on the repair order itself).
