Guest richr
Preparing to strip paint from my 63 Skylark. I cannot figure out how to remove the upper stainless trim on the door that holds the window rubber in place. I found one small screw in the corner and cannot find any other screws that hold it in place. My Chevelle was easy as all I had to do was lower the window down to access the window fuzzy screws, this one seems a bit more challenging. It looks as if I either need to remove the vent window frame too? Any help would be great, I don't want to start prying it off and possibly damaging it. 61polara
On many cars of this period, it's held on by staples.

Guest richr
Thks guys I figured it out, There are three clips hidden on the very top of the door, you have to use a wide plastic pry bar, from Harbor Freight the blue ones, and depress each while lifting with another plastic pry bar on the outer edge. Not fun at all lol. Best, Rich
