Dave Chiotti
What is the cruising speed of a 1926 Buick Master series?
dibarlaw
50 MPH will be pushing it for extended drives. It will probably be happier at 45.
unimogjohn
With my 23 McLaughlin Buick touring is happy at 30 to 35 mph, and remember it only has two wheel rear brakes. My 28 Town Brougham is happy at 45, but I like 35 to 40 better. I have cruised at 55, but thought the pistons were going to blow thru the top of the engine. Remember, you actually have to drive these cars, and there seems to be no relaxing unless you are going abut 25 mph. With all this said, they are great cars to drive and you will have lots of fun in the right driving environment. But I avoid traffic like the plague, lots of folks could care less you are driving an old car, and give you no quarter or respect.
