Guest Maui83
Hi all, first post and I'm looking forward to many more. Amazing resource. I'm curious if anyone has any experience buying from MJC Classic cars in Lakeland,, FL? They specialize in low mileage, mostly original cars but they "freshen" them up. 2-stage paint jobs, new vinyl tops when needed. They go top dollar, but look very clean. Im interested in a car from them but wanted first to hear from the experts, or from anyone who has firsthand experience buying from them. Quality? Cars true to their description? Happy with your purchase? thanks all. Happy cruisin'. This is them: http://www.mjcclassiccars.com

I talked to them once, however, when they were trying to sell a 1960 Lincoln sedan bodied by Hess and Eisenhart. Their asking price was about $20,000 above what a previous dealer's asking price had been, selling the same car. They tried to tell me how much the rechroming (not done by them) would have cost--which is basically irrelevant, as all cars cost more to restore than they are worth. That car evidently never sold to a hobbyist; it just went to another dealer, who's now trying to sell it. You might say they ASK top dollar. Please don't assume they get it. Time after time after time, the cars they place on Ebay fail to sell at their prices. If someone really had a bad experience, he should send you a private message, as AACA doesn't want bad things said on the forum. Maybe they are great car fans. 60FlatTop
Most of the cars are photographed with the same background. I would say that is a good thing. Bernie
