wangwilko
Hi, Can anyone point me in the direction where to purchase correct tail light and headlight stand rubbers and headlight to stand rubber with metal insert also any of the door, trunk, horn to fender and cowl vent rubbers. I have tried Steele and they dont have correct sizes for the headlight tail light and horn to fender rubber. Thanks Peter
jpage
If the correct parts aren't made you may have to alter an existing part or make up something from scratch. You might order a set of horn cover gaskets from another supplier for a '36 Dodge and see if they could be altered to fit. Restoration Specialties in PA has a large assortment of rubber profiles that could possibly used to make some of the parts that you need. They also have a rubber edging that can be used under stands and brackets to guard against paint damage. Their catalog is online @ restorationspecialties.com and they will send samples free of charge. The door rubber may also be very close to the '36 Dodge or Plymouth. A little imagination can go a long way in these cases! Good hunting!
wangwilko
Thanks, will give that a try. Do you know what glue is best to use if you do the cut and shut. Thanks Peter
jpage
We always used a super glue that was made for specifically for rubber.
