RoadShark
The long hard-line that runs front-to-rear on the frame and the ones on the differentia have been replaced on my car. Whoever did it, did a rough and quick job. I ordered up a set of pre-bent lines, but before I go taking things apart, I'd like to see how that long one is supposed to be routed - especially if I need to get some clips too. I took a quick look in the brake section of the service manual but didn't see any pictures. Did I miss it or is there somewhere else to see the routing? Thanks... 68RIVGS
It's covered in the manual RS, at least it is for '68. (...Fig. 50-8-49000 Service Brake Control System). It is a line drawing, with sectional views, so it's a little vague, but it does give you an idea of how the routing through the X frame goes. RoadShark
Ah - so it is. I never got past the emergency brake cable routing. It looks like it goes through the frame just ahead of the "X" and through the frame again just aft of the "X".
Guest taongisurvivor
I just replaced mine on my 67 and can crawl under there tomorrow and take some pics if you need some. What I found was that the frame has grooves trailing into and out of the frame where the line enters and exits. Once you know that little hack installation becomes obvious. Let me know if you want some pics.......

Guest taongisurvivor
Several of the clips on my 67 were shot. Are these available from anywhere???
JZRIV
Check here. http://www.inlinetube.com/ Even if not identical they should have something that functions. Or find used off an arid climate parts car Edited October 26, 2015 by JZRIV (see edit history)
