Tim Wolfe
Can someone tell me the float setting for a 1930 Stromberg DX 3? After the car has been run and shut off, there is fuel that drains out of the 3/16" drain line on the bottom of the intake manifold. Carb. has been cleaned and rebuilt, needle & seat look great. Haven't been able to locate information on float level. Thanks, Tim Wolfe
hchris
Dykes quote 7/8" static fuel level from top of the bowl (gasket removed) to top of the float.
Tim Wolfe
Thank you very much, I hope resetting the level solves the problem.
carbking
With 3 psi on the fuel valve, the distance to the FUEL LEVEL from the top of the bowl is 7/8 inches. The static (initial) setting (this one will get you close) is 23/64 from the top of the float to the top of the bowl. Jon.

Jon.Well spotted, I am in error, the 7/8 refers to fuel level not float level
