Hi friends! Help me with this one!  SC59.......South Carolina 59th made??  Heater grate?? How about the convertible top moving mechanism? That and heat I believe are firsts for American automobiles!! Here is the link to a video with more pics!  I am guessing a 1920 Anderson Sport Touring Model??Thanks for your input! Joey Vaughan

This car as it is now is in New Hampshire. But my grandfather who was born in 1900 near Greenville, S.C. settled here in the early 20's so it is possible this is the car he might have acquired in S.C. for his trip here. Giving more credence to this being an Anderson Automobile that were made in Rock Hill S.C. close to Greenville! I found a licence plate near the car that was from 1931. This leads me to believe if belonging to this car that the car must have been at least 10 years old when junked there. But since my grampa was a mechanic I guess older? If this is the 59th Anderson made in the very first batch it definitely is part of American Automobile history!

Hi again! If anyone has access to the remaining Anderson's (2 in S.C. Museums) please take a look in the rear seating compartment probably on the floor and see if there is a heater grate that resembles the SC59 I have posted above! Thanks! Send me a picture of it please!

Serial numbers are normally not cast for each car, they are stamped on individually.. Part numbers, model numbers, etc.would be on the casting for identifying the specific part.  The license plate found near the car  may have been thrown on "the pile" with the window risers and stuff 1932 or later.
