Guest Rp1967
Dye and a black light worked better for me than any detector I have seen .And we had a Snapon at the dealership. You can also buy black pen lights and flex lights to get in tight places
carrfixr
Unless you have a very large leak use dye. most of the electronic leak detectors go off if you fart in them.. only t'he expensive ones are worth anything mainly for a larger leak. Guest
On a R-12 system I like to use a Propane Halide Leak Detector with probe hose over electronic tester and I have both. I have used it on my 63 Pontiac Catalina and can pinpoint the smallest of leaks. Nothing more efficient than R-12.
