Daves1940Buick56S
I am getting new side glass, channel, etc. and I am about to start removing the door panels. How does the lock lever remove? I assume it just unscrews? Counterclock is in the locked (down) position, do you just continue in the direction? Seems tight and I do not want to bust anything. jvelde
Might check this manual to see if it helps. http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/fisher/1939_40/
Daves1940Buick56S
Thanks! From this, it appears that the locking lever is on a spline similar to the window and door handles, although there is no specific procedure for the removing the lever itself (although it does refer to the non-torpedo lock knob thru the door garnish molding for the series 40-60). I will also check the '41 manual I have to see if it's mentioned. Cheers, Dave
