Narve N
Anyone able to confirm whether a Series 65 Roadster would have pinstripes along the beads of the rear deck as this Series 75 car has, and then running forward over the rear wheel and along the bottom bead of the main body? Or would it be finished off just behind the seats/top? I do anyhow expect that the bottom bead of the hood would not be striped, just the middle and higher ones fo the hood. Also, is 1/8" width appropriate? Your thoughts are appreciated and my striping guy is awaiting the results with dagger in hand.
keiser31
If the 1931 DBs had the pinstripe, it is very likely that your car did, too....here is a factory photo of the rear of the 1931 DB business coupe....with pinstripes....
Narve N
As pr Mr Keisers advice, here we go:Also put our bet on 3mm (1/8") wide striping
keiser31
That looks gorgeous! Are you going to add the horizontal stripe along the bottom of the rear of the body?
Narve N
The bottom line as displayed on the 31 Dodge, cannot be found on any restored 29s I've found pictures of. So as of current standing of evidence, there will be no bottom line.
keiser31
Naturally, you won't find that stripe on restored cars because it is not very well known. That is why I supplied you with the factory photo to show the reality.
