Guest CRex619
Hey guys,I'm just wondering from your experience what carburetors work best for a 322 nailhead 4bbl. I'd like something that I don't have to swap out the distributor, but if need be I can. Do you guys recommend a certain brand....(i.e. Holley, Edelbrock, etc). Thanks! Airy Cat
I have a 322 with the stock 4 bbl and it works great.
Guest
Just one 4brl? Russ Martin in CA nailheadrodder on the web. Worth the search. His tech page pretty much has the tech you need for most nailheads. Good luck!
old-tank
Since your car came with a 2-bbl carb, when you get the 4-bbl manifold hopefully with a 55-56 Carter WCFB...that will have the best chance of working right. Things others have done: add fuel injection like Ben did http://forums.aaca.org/f118/1950-spe...fi-345328.html or look for an Edelbrock carburetor like VickyBlue did http://forums.aaca.org/f162/edelbroc...on-333493.html .Willie
bhambulldog
Carter as Willie said.Mine came with a Rochester. It ran as well as the Carter. But, the Carter stays in tune. (I haven't touched the Carter in years)The Rochester required a lot re-tuning.
