stock_steve
Took a lot of photos at Hershey this year, as usual, and would like to post an occasional one or two, as I can find the time... And would more than welcome anyone else who'd like to post favorite photos from the 2014 Hershey Experience as well--be it flea market, car corral, car show, etc. (speaking for myself, I took photos at all of the above)... Will start it off with just one photo for now, from the flea market. It think we saw this cool little cast iron cat on our first day of flea market browsing (Wednesday), but the next time we walked by the space, it was gone... Just goes to show you that all sorts of interesting treasures can be found at Hershey!
stock_steve
One more for today... Kool, "low-gloss"/"patina" '52 Plymouth wagon in the flea market.. Sure wish I'd at least attempted to take a picture of the engine, which, as I recall, was pretty darned cool, with dual carbs, etc... The best I can do is a crop of the original photo, and then some electronic enhancement to bring out the slightest bit of detail... AC Fuhrman
Here is my favorite Steve - 1921 Rolls Royce from Boardwalk Empire TV show - in the car corral - dropped 30K over the weekend - but still out of my reach. I have to confess that I did not look closely at that one (maybe some subconscious feeling that it was "out of my league"?!). Very interesting to hear your observations on the pricing thru the weekend... Thanks for chiming in!
stock_steve
We finally made it to the Car Corral, and this starts out a long browse through this fun area of Hershey, with many photos snapped along the way--however not always very much information gathered in the process (sorry). First stop for a quick photo was this beautiful Lincoln Town Car, sporting an HPOF badge. Sorry, no idea of the asking price, and enlarging my photo to try to discern some information from that washed-out window card was not fruitful at all. The Wikipedia page says that these first generation Town Cars were made '81 thru '89 (ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Town_Car), so this one must've been somewhre in there. Sorry once again for no other pictures nor info on this big awesome Lincoln!
West Peterson
I think that style Town Car began around 1976. That grille was introduced for the 1977 models.

stock_steve
One more for now from our Car Corral browse on Wednesday of Hershey Holy Week... This '41 Ford Woodie was really sweet. We talked with the seller a bit--nice fellow--I think I recall his saying the car may have had Cape Cod roots(?). At any rate, I think it must've sold because we came thru there a day or so later and it appeared to be gone. Really attractive car... I had never seen that ribbed "inner" type of trim ring before--I am not sure if it's rare or not, but just liked it and took a picture... Have a good evening, and we'll be back for more browsing next chance we get... Edited November 11, 2014 by stock_steve (see edit history)

Have a good evening, and we'll be back for more browsing next chance we get...It may be from 1940-41 Packard. I use the Ford outer ribbed trim ring on my 1940 Packard, so I guess it's okay for this Ford guy to borrow a Packard inner ribbed trim ring for his Ford. stock_steve
Good afternoon and Happy Wednesday! Some cool additions there, West, thanks!... Continuing along with our own Hershey 2014 experience, we are still just starting to get our feet wet in the Car Corral, starting from the eastern end... Here's a positively superb '69 Camaro Convertible...
stock_steve
And next, a couple of awesome pairs (including a cropped close-up of what the beautiful '36 Ford had written on its windshield--sorry, no info on the LaSalle nor the other two Fords in the second image)... Happy Wednesday afternoon once again...
stock_steve
Looks like we are now on the other side of the underpass, and looking back at areas of the Car Corral that we have already walked thru... That's a beautiful late '30s Buick dominating this scene, if I am not mistaken... Happy Wednesday afternoon...
stock_steve
Old-VW enthusiasts that we are, there was no way my wife and I could not check out the late-era VW Bug Convertible... This triple-white one was a beauty! Sorry no recollection of asking price... The wheels look aftermarket, but otherwise, very correct-looking... Separate front seat headrests originated in '77 (ref: http://www.vw-resource.com/years.html) so this must've been '77-'79 era, best guess... stock_steve
Beautiful little Morris panel delivery truck, apparently being offered by Ragtops of West Palm Beacn (http://www.ragtopsmotorcars.com/)... Blowing up my picture didn't yield too much info, but does that look like a ~$12k asking price?... I did a little big more googling today and found this listing on Hemmings, indicating it was a '71 model (if it's the same car?), and other info: http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/morris/minor/1586942.html
stock_steve
While we're on the subject of Panel Deliveries, how about this positively fantastic early '50s Pontiac that was parked nearby the Morris in the Car Corral--WOW!!!... Sorry, no other info on this one... Happy Thursday!
stock_steve
Continuing our Hershey Car Corral browse... "Patina" Chevy Pickup, mid-late '40s vintage, it would appear... Did not take any other pictures of this one, nor remember anything about what the asking price may have been, etc., but it sure was cool, and looked plenty original... stock_steve
Good morning and Happy Friday!.. Here comes a cool little Nash Metropolitan making its way thru the Car Corral, possibly followed by a '37 Ford (best guess anyway)... Some strategic cropping, enlarging, and rudimentary image enhancement attempts suggest that the Met may have been a '59 Model, with a $16,900 asking price, and the suspected '37 Ford behind it looks to have been indicated as being "all original" and with a "$15,000 - make offer" asking price... Happy Friday once again...
stock_steve
More from the Hershey 2014 Car Corral... "Pimp-tastic" '73 Eldorado!... I think you need a certain style hat to drive this car with...
stock_steve
One more Friday lunchtime installment for now from the Hershey 2014 Car Corral browse... stock_steve
Last one for today, from the Hershey 2014 Car Corral... I liked this grouping of cars, and the shadows they cast. Closest to the camera is a '47 Hudson (yes, I cheated and blew up the window card for that), the one in the middle I am stumped on, and then the far one is an early '50s Chevy, I believe... Any help on identifying that middle car?... Happy Friday and Happy Weekend!
stock_steve
Good morning and Happy Monday!... More scenes from the Car Corral browse... stock_steve
One more for Monday morning from the Hershey 2014 Car Corral... 1953 Kaiser Dragon--positively eye-popping. stock_steve
Another Car Corral shot where I liked both the cars and the shadows they cast. Left to right: 1930 (best guess anyway) Model A Ford Roadster, 1940 Buick Special 4-door, and 1938 Buick Special 4-door. A tiny bit more detail gleaned with some cropped & enlarged views also... stock_steve
One more for lunchtime today... 1977 AMC Barcelona (custom-edition Matador)... Wow... I also did some googling on flags of Barcelona, and found that the red & yellow theme (that appears on the "Barcelona" badge, and also within a small emblem on the opera window) seems to be predominant, ref: http://www.pics4world.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5579 ... P.S.: I did take a few pictures of that super-nice '64 Rambler wagon that was next to it, on a different day, but I'll be getting to those eventually for sure. What I'm trying to do is present my pictures *in the order they were taken*... Have a great rest of your day... West Peterson
This 1929 Bugatti Type 37 body amazed me when I saw it. Any recollection on ballpark asking price, West? No. I kick myself for not asking. I was just intrigued by its story, and busy taking photos. I think I was in "I can't afford it, so won't ask" mode, instead of "journalist" modeI fixed the post, though, as I had the wrong year listed. It is a 1929 Type 37.
