Guest bigdaddyslotrat Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!:cool:I'M WORKING ON A 1958BUICK CENTURY ?.(i think)MY QUESTION IS THIS: I HAVE A SMALL OIL LEAK ON THE RIGHT SIDE IN THE REAR OF THE MOTOR??.THERE IS A SMALL TUBE COMING OUT OF THE PAN AND GOES UP THEN STOPS:confused:. Buicknutty Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Sounds like it might be the transmission dipstick tube you're talking about, but whether or not that's were the oil is originating from is another matter. 61polara Posted October 24, 2014 Share Posted October 24, 2014 I think this is the same as a 1957 Buick. On these Buicks, the vacuum pump is on the oil pump. The tube coming out of the side of the pan is the vacuum port should be connected to the wiper vacuum circuit with a vacuum hose. There should not be any oil coming out of this tube.
