Breckenridge Colorado Abandoned Mine Hike... What's This, A Buick Straight 6?

I wanted to post up some photos of a straight 6 Buick engine and transmission that my wife and I saw at an abandoned mine site near Breckenridge Colorado.

I have a couple old Fords: '27 RPU & '31 Tudor, a '69 Camaro SS and a '65 C10 SWB stepper, but I am admittedly not a "Buick" guy. I didn't know if this engine / transmission is something that a collector might be interested in. The mine site is slated for reclamation so if somebody is interested it could probably be obtained for a reasonable price.

The block has been welded, the intake manifold is busted, and there is no valve cover..... not saying there's much there that could be salvaged, but just wanted to throw this out there, just in case.

I'm not sure how to distinguish the small series from the large series engine.

It's the large series engine ( 310ci )

The easy way to tell is the water distribution tube on the head. This is only on the larger motor, the smaller series only has a single water outlet at the front of the head while the large series has 4 outlets and the distribution pipe.
