Guest CRex619
Hey guys,Just got my gasket kit in and noticed that both sides of the head gasket are metal with a rubber later in between...I've never ran into this before. What type of sealer, if any should I be using? What are your recommendations?Much Thanks!

old-tank
Those 'sandwich' type gaskets have been known to be troublesome: oil or water gets between the layers.A better choice would be the one piece embossed steel gasket (high compression 0.015 inch). Also if you replaced the pistons, you already have a lower compression engine. The Permatex above is a good choice as is K & W Copper Coat either in spray or brush-on.Willie
