Guest Buickimpalas
Hi my 41 Buick shifter broke off in the column. I took it apart there is no way for me to fix it . It's the part that the chrome shifter screws onto .need to know if someone has one or were to find one. i'm guessing that they are the same from 1940 -49 thanks

Guest Straight eight
You haven't been speed shifting have you? These old trannies can't take very much abuse, slow and gentle pays big rewards. Guest Buickimpalas
No I wasn't speed shifting I just had the car in my driveway and went to put it in reverse from first and it broke. I've only owned the car for about three months now it always felt a little sloppy .when I took it apart it had pieces of the housing that was broken off from the past.
