junkyardjeff
I put the spare seat in it last summer but finally got around to rebuilding it,I am redoing the covers and adding new foam along with repairing some broken springs and will stiffen the springs some as I like a firm seat. 3 trips to florida with springs poking in my back plus the foam completely gone on the cushion so it was time to do something, both backrests are done and the cushion is patterned out and just needs to be sewn togather so I hope I can get it done in the next couple weeks as I need to order foam. junkyardjeff
Here is a before picture,my seats have a third color in them that is not normal and I think they ran out of the green and substitued a blue and wanted to put it back in but could not find a match so its going to be the way it was supposed to be. junkyardjeff
It would have been easier to buy a kit but I wanted to do it myself, the original seat covers were not sewn up too good as they had uneven pleats and some crooked top stitching which I hope to get much better. The rear back rest is horrible and seen others just as bad so I guess people did not pay that much attention to stuff like that back then.
