Bill - 29 Buick
I have a friend with a 29-44 in Spain. He has extensive damage to his diff's. ring & pinion gears and axles. He has found a complete 28 Master rear end assembly and wants to swap it into his 29. He tells me that all measurements are the same. However, I believe the axles are not bolted into the diff. the same way in 28 as 29 and I assume there are other differences. Am looking for a good scan of the 28 Shop manual page(s) with the complete rear end to send him to compare 28 & 29 and any info re using a 28 rear end assembly in a 29. Please PM me for my email. Thanks !Bill McLaughlin29-44 Roadster

Leif Holmberg
When looking in my part books ,almost nothing has the same parts number that fit both the 1928 Master and 1929 Master models. But if the gears has the right measuring he can change and it will be a small differens on the ratio from 53:13 on his 1929 and depending on what model the 1928 is 54:11 on model 47,47S,50,51 and 52:11 ratio on model 48,54,54C,55,58.Leif in Sweden.
