MochetVelo
I often want to photocopy or scan an old manual, but how can I print it (2-sided) in the correct order so it's an exact copy of the original? The simplest method would be to remove the staples and make double-sided copies, but that is not always possible!Phil
Standard Eight
PhilWhen I copy manuals I copy each page (front/back) individually to a separate PDF file. I keep the pdf files in sequential order to match the pages. When I have scanned all of the pages I then combine all of the pages into one PDF file (I use Adobe Pro but other software can be used to do this). Then when I print this PDF, which has all the pages in the correct sequential order, I choose the option within the software to print on both the front and back of each page. To make printing on the front and back of each page easier it is best to have a printer which supports duplex printing. If you don't have a duplex printer printing on both sides is still possible with most software as the software will print out all the front pages first then have you re-feed the printed pages back into the printer to then print the back of the pages. - Bob
MochetVelo
Thanks for the tip. Adobe Pro may be overkill for my use. Is there is a simpler program? I suppose this is like editing a newsletter or magazine and placing each separate page in the correct order.Phil
Standard Eight
This free program only splits or combines PDF files but does not do any formatting but it works well to combine separate PDF files. http://www.pdfsam.org/download/
