Rosiesdad
Was wondering if sedan and convertible visor hardware is the same??? My potmetal ones are split at the clamps and driver side finally broke completely. The search is ON! Wonder if these mounts are shared with other brands?Any advice appreciated! Thanks,Phil
Eric W
Don't know the exact answer to your question, but something like this little gem of home workshop engineering might get you back on the road... (as found in my '51)Note how they even split the block of wood where the visor fits in so the block could be tightened by the 2 smaller screws...Make a pair of these out of Aluminum, thread the 2 small screw holes at the slotted end so there's not nuts on the other side, countersink the 2 small screw heads, round off the end around the pivot screw, polish to a high shine... Rosiesdad
Wow Eric. That's very creative! I hope I don't have to break out the hacksaw and go that route. The original design is a bit weak so a billet upgrade is something I am considering if I can't find a servicable replacement. Looks like the sedans mount is higher up rather than on the frame like the convertible Thanks for the input!Phil
