Mssr. Bwatoe
Well it always happens when the wife is in the car, and it is really hot, and we are out of town..Butold grey always limps back home...I was giddy with delight when I took it out of overdrive, it locked in andwe we able to run 65 all the way back home..Unit still full of oil and no damage or scarring to ring/pinionnot even any shavings in bearings. but.....And that band that they all swear needs to be installed wouldnt havehelped ..So much for summer driving..but at least safe and sound in its home.. abelincoln
Bummer. I've not found a source of new OD parts. If your housing is OK, might see if mid 50's BW insides would fit.Abe
Mssr. Bwatoe
The only relief is that parts are available, and I suppose not that unreasonable in old car hobby price mode...Something had to give, as many of you know, if you have been working on your LZ..sometimes have to wonder if it's worth it. Yes it is (I keep telling myself)
